How does the membership work at Rayah Hope?
Everyone seeking to become a new member at Rayah Hope will first enter into the program as a Functional Medicine participant and pay the functional medicine membership fee. This is because at Rayah Hope we believe that each person has a unique story and taking the time to understand the history of your birth, childhood etc. can help us understand our unique root causes and help you become healthy and whole from within. We do not just want to throw medications at you. We want you to understand your body and how to restore and maintain health for the rest of your life! Once we have taken the time to understand your unique story and have worked to help you optimize your health, you can then opt to decrease your membership fee to the Direct Primary Care pricing and continue on at Rayah Hope for all your future maintenance care needs.
What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is about getting to the root cause of a problem and working to reverse disease. It focuses not only on the physical issues but also on the mental, emotional and spiritual contributions to one’s health. Conventional medicine seeks to manage disease/symptoms with medications. It’s like simply mopping up the floor while the sink is flooding. Functional medicine is about looking deeper and realizing the root cause of the problem is that the faucet is on full blast and it seeks to reverse the problem by figuring out how to turn the faucet off so the sink does not flood anymore and the mops (medication) are no longer needed.
What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a way for providers to get out from under the insurance governed healthcare system in order to provide affordable, quality healthcare directly to their patients. In the system providers have little to no say in patient care. With increasing demands for providers to see more patients in less time, quality patient care and truly understanding each patients’ unique issues, has become near impossible. DPC is a way for providers to get back to the old-time physician-patient relationship without all the politics and middle men. As a DPC member at Rayah Hope you will continue to get your maintenance and acute care needs met from a functional medicine approach.
What Makes Rayah Hope unique?
At Rayah Hope we address the whole person and work toward health through transformation of the mind, body and soul. We integrate primary care with functional medicine so we can be your primary care prescriber while utilizing functional medicine to get to the root cause of your medical problems and help you reverse your disease. Our goal is to get you healthy and whole from the inside out so that we can get you off or at least less reliant on medications.
Do we take insurance?
At Rayah Hope we do not bill insurance for our services/membership fees. Your personal insurance can be utilized for labs, imaging and specialty referrals if desired. The traditional healthcare system is governed by greedy insurance companies that inflate prices, dictate what type of care can be provided/withheld and require more and more patients be seen in less amount of time. Our passion at Rayah Hope is to provide affordable, quality care directly to our patients with unrushed visits and wholistic care based on your individual need.
Will I still need insurance?
Although insurance is not required to be a member at Rayah Hope, it is encouraged. At Rayah Hope we provide regular direct primary care and urgent care needs recommend that patients have insurance coverage for healthcare needs outside of what we are able to cover, including hospitalizations, and surgeries. We recommend at least a high deductible, low premium plan in conjunction with her membership in order to save you money, monthly, while retaining coverage for emergency situations.
Are There any contracts or commitments?
No. We do have patients sign a “patient contract” but there is no financial commitment included so patients can cancel at any time. For the Direct Primary Care (DPC) membership, you must be a functional medicine member first and then graduate into the DPC membership. Once in the DPC membership your monthly fee will give you unlimited access to Rayah Hope services.
